Introduction to the Competition

The International Competition of Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Shenzhen, China, adheres to the concept of "carrying out international exchanges and cooperation, sharing opportunities for innovation and development", aiming to integrate innovation and entrepreneurship resources, promote the connection between overseas projects and China's high-tech industrial resources, explore the Chinese market, and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results. It has successfully been held for nine consecutive years. The competition is open to all overseas innovation and entrepreneurship projects, and participants are not restricted by nationality.

Overseas Regional Finals: Each regional finals of the overseas competitions will award 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, and 3 third prizes. The winners will receive rewards of 100,000 yuan, 50,000 yuan, and 30,000 yuan respectively
APEC Competition: One first prize, two second prizes, and three third prizes will be awarded. The winners will receive rewards of 100,000 yuan, 50,000 yuan, and 30,000 yuan respectively
Industry Finals: Each industry final will award 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, and 3 third prizes. The winners will receive rewards of 150,000 yuan, 100,000 yuan, and 50,000 yuan respectively
Final Tournament: The final tournament will award 1 first prize, 3 second prizes, and 6 third prizes. The respective rewards will be 1.5 million yuan, 750,000 yuan, and 450,000 yuan in RMB. Among them, the first prize of 500,000 yuan, the second prize of 250,000 yuan, and the third prize of 150,000 yuan will be distributed after the conclusion of the competition; the remaining first prize of 1 million yuan, the second prize of 500,000 yuan, and the third prize of 300,000 yuan will be distributed in the form of entrepreneurship subsidies to qualified commercial entities after the project is implemented in Shenzhen

Entry Requirements

Overseas high-level entrepreneurial teams or individuals with innovative achievements and entrepreneurial plans.

Currently based overseas, intending to engage in innovation and entrepreneurship in Shenzhen or collaborate with Shenzhen's related industries, and have not registered a commercial entity in Shenzhen or served as a legal representative or shareholder.

The products, technologies, or related patents of the participating projects belong to the participants, and there are no property disputes with others. Any liability arising from infringement shall be borne by the participants

Participants and projects who have won awards in the first China Shenzhen Overseas Innovation Talent Competition and previous China Shenzhen Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competitions (including domestic and international competitions) cannot participate in this competition again.

At least one person in the team must meet one of the following conditions

1.Obtained a doctoral degree both domestically and internationally, and has one of the following experiences:
① In the fields of natural science and engineering technology, obtained a doctoral degree and then worked at renowned universities, research institutions, or enterprise R&D institutions overseas;
② Holding a senior position in an internationally renowned company, or holding a position equivalent to associate professor or above in a well-known foreign university or research institution.

2. Obtained a master's degree or above from overseas, has overseas entrepreneurial experience or has held senior positions in international renowned companies, and has one of the following experiences:
① Possesses leading international technological achievements or can fill the domestic gap, with great product potential;
② Or there are independently developed innovative products that have received investment from venture capital firms.

3. Possessing a bachelor's degree or higher from either domestic or international institutions, with extensive work experience in overseas enterprises and having held senior technical positions in internationally renowned companies.
